About

Startup Weekend Louisville brings together graphic designers, marketing professionals, sales people, students, programmers, homemakers and anyone else that wants to learn how to move from a back of the napkin idea. Want to join us? Register for the next event as a participant or see the Friday kickoff or join us for the Sunday presentations.

Louisville’s first Startup Weekend started in 2012 and gathered about 40 attendees (39 men, 1 woman). City Anchor, lead by Dave Durand was the chosen winner for the first event. Louisville has continuously hosted Startup Weekend events twice a year and in Spring 2017, we celebrated our 10th event.

Want to contribute? We’re always looking for volunteers and community support to help financially (to pay for food and supplies) or through in kind services to support the entrepreneurs after the event through coaching, mentoring or professional support services like accounting, legal, marketing, insurance or banking.

Being a part of Startup Weekend was an impactful experience for our new company, CritterFacts, and for my own personal and professional growth. I believe anyone who is interested in starting their own company, works in business development, or wants to learn to work with a team with tight deadlines should go through the experience of Startup Weekend.
